Grown in a 75mm pot.
Also known as Cereus tetragonus 'Fairy Castle' and Cereus hildmannianus f. monstruosus 'Fairy Castle'.
This is a really attractive and easy going cactus for you to look after, over time you will watch him grow into a tall columnar cactus that is up to 2m high.
You can easily grow him indoors in a brightly lit spot such as next to a window, great for beginner indoor growers or those of us who are short on outdoor space!
5-sided stems and small spines protrude from a wooly base. The many spire-like branches that develop give her a fanciful form that resembles a castle fit for all your resident garden fairies.
Give the Fairy Castle plenty of light, direct sun is great! Water thoroughly once or twice a week in spring and summer and feed monthly with a half strength cactus fertiliser. In autumn and winter cut back on the watering and stop feeding altogether and you will have a very happy cactus.
